Principal's Message

Welcome to Beaconsfield Primary School!

Beaconsfield Primary School, located in Melbourne’s South Eastern suburbs, maintains a strong sense of community and close relationships between teachers, students and their parents. We currently have 700 children in 30 grades.

We are very proud of our children. Nurtured in our welcoming, friendly classrooms, they thrive as a community of learners. Our personal approach to the care, support and welfare of each child, encourages the development of the whole child. When you walk through our playgrounds or enter our classrooms you cannot help but notice that our children are actively engaged in their learning, well behaved and full of fun.

We are proud of our talented teachers and their ability to connect with the children. Our teachers carefully craft curriculum based on the “Learning Investigation” model to support children in their learning and work towards meeting the needs of each individual. Our teachers care for the children, creating in each classroom a feeling of safety and security; however, it is their ability to develop in our children a sense of direction, optimism and excitement that makes our classrooms so very special.

We are proud of our beautiful facilities. A $4.5 million facilities upgrade has seen the development of nine new classrooms, learning hubs, meeting rooms, Gallery, Indoor Basketball area, Science/Technology multi-purpose room, Art room, Canteen and Music room. Our buildings are as fresh and exciting as our ground breaking curriculum.

Education is bigger than buildings, curriculum and traditions; education is about that fundamental teaching and learning relationship. Beaconsfield Primary School is a community school. For over a century, we have cultivated a strong partnership between the teachers, parents and students and we invite you to join our special learning community.

It takes a team to build a dream!
